North Shore Veterinary Hospital Specialist Centre (NSVSC) is seeking enthusiastic, client-focused Veterinarians to join our growing after hours Emergency and Critical Care team. A full-time and part-time ECC Vet positions are available.

About us

You will be joining our fast-paced and dynamic Emergency and Critical Care team. A beautiful state-of-the-art multi-disciplinary Specialist and Emergency Veterinary Hospital refurbished over 2 years ago, NSVSC has a long history spanning back to 1935 with an excellent connection with our local veterinary hospital and the general public. We have an excellent client base that is supportive of providing gold standard care for their pets.

Situated on Sydney's Lower North Shore, we are near the beautiful Sydney Harbour and have excellent access to Sydney's Public Transport network (Trains & Buses). Our new hospital has 11 consulting rooms, four theatres, designated ultrasound, Chemotherapy and medical procedures room. We also have a large, shared training facility for Clinical staff training.

Our hospital has:

• Complete in-house laboratory (Biochemistry and haematology)
• Digital radiology
• Onsite MRI 1.5T Siemens
• Onsite 128 slice CT scanner
• Fluoroscopy
• Ventilators
• Dental radiology
• Endoscopy
• Ultrasonography
• ECG

A large group of Specialist Veterinarians supports the ECC team with a wealth of experience, including ECC Specialist Criticalist, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Imaging, Exotic and Small mammals, Dermatology, and Ophthalmology. The hospital runs regular CE events for referring vets and clinical rounds every fortnight. We also run regular in-house training for staff, including CPR, lecture series and practical workshops.

What we're looking for

Minimum requirements are one year of experience in a small animal veterinarian hospital. The position will be ideally suited to vet with a background in Emergency that wishes to grow their skill set in a supported environment. A Veterinarian with experience in busy General Practices will also be considered.
