Our multidisciplinary veterinary hospital offers western Melbourne pet owners and their pet’s access to GP, Emergency, Anaesthesia, Oncology, Medicine and Neurology. While our team are also be dedicated to supporting our future veterinary practitioners studying at The University of Melbourne with clinical experience.
About the Internship
We are driven to develop a strong culture team delivering excellent 24-hour veterinary care and customer service to the Western Melbourne region, where your ideas, suggestions and participation will be valued.
As an Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) Intern you will work closely with our team of experienced Emergency Vets (memberships and have close involvement with our other departments. You will assist with ECC cases and be closely involved in the assessment, diagnosis and post-operative care of a diverse variety of challenging cases. The successful applicant will also spend time working within the emergency department as a primary clinician. Facilities include CT, 3T MRI, exotics animal suite, two state-of-the art Getinge Servo-U ventilators, separate Emergency and Intensive care wards, and on-site University clinical pathology and anatomic pathology laboratory.
About you
Candidates must have a recognised Veterinary degree in Australia and be eligible for veterinary registration in Victoria, have excellent communication skills and a strong knowledge base on which to build. Applicants must also be eligible to work in Australia.
