We are seeking an ECC Veterinary Manager at ARH Essendon Fields to lead our team of Veterinary professionals.

About the role:
As the ECC Veterinary Manager you have a shared responsibility of administration and management of the ECC department.
Your daily tasks will involve team development, liaising with intra and inter-departmental team members, upholding high standards of ECC/ICU care, drive team development and participation in all aspects of workflow in a supportive environment.
You will advocate on behalf of the ECC department and act as a representative for collaborative engagement between other departments, aiming for a one-hospital approach and business as a whole.
Where you will be working:
The Animal Referral Hospital Essendon Fields is a multi-disciplinary specialist hospital, and today it is a part of the largest emergency and specialist group in Australia, hosting the largest contingent of Emergency Veterinarians and Criticalists in the Country.
You will have access to all the items required to practice emergency and critical care at the highest level, including intensive care ventilators, blood gas analysis, cage-side ultrasound and on-site CT and MRI. We encourage case collaboration, and you will have the advantage of working closely with the Surgery and Medicine Specialists to deliver the best standard of care to your patients.
Who we are looking for:
Must have:
- A veterinary degree registrable in Victoria.
- A proven history of leading a team of veterinarians in a senior veterinary capacity.
- Competence with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Commitment to being a team player, good communicator and contributing to a positive workplace environment.
Desirable:
- Membership of the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Emergency & Critical Care or of an equivalent international body.
- Management training (formal or informal through CPD) would be advantageous.
- Experience using RxWorks and Smartflow veterinary software.
