SuncoastVet Marcoola, located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, is seeking an experienced and confident Veterinarian to join the team. Is it you?

Why SuncoastVet?

Our teams at SuncoastVet are committed to fostering a culture of continuous growth and learning. As a key member of the team, you'll be part of a supportive community where your ideas are valued, your expertise is celebrated, and your career aspirations are nurtured.

We understand the importance of achieving harmony between your professional and personal life. At SuncoastVet Marcoola, you'll enjoy practicing advanced, high-quality medicine with flexibility that allows you to take care of family, enjoy your hobbies or explore the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

What we offer:

  • An environment with strong communication and clear expectations, and a chance for you to set the standard for excellent veterinary medicine.
  • No after-hours work. We start on time and finish on time.
  • A small and supportive team with zero tolerance for drama or ‘less than excellent’ patient care
  • An above award salary
  • Mentoring from skilled veterinary surgeons and medicine veterinarians across our SuncoastVet Group.
  • An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that supports your mental health and wellbeing.
  • Generous CPD and an annual Awards Night that celebrates the amazing work of our people.

Requirements:

  • A relevant Australian veterinary science degree and/or a recognised international degree with QLD Vet Surgeons Board registration.
  • A confident ‘all rounder’ capable of a range of general diagnostic, surgical, and medical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and client relationship skills.
  • Positive, flexible and adaptable style. This is a small practice and no two days are the same.
  • A passion for improving the lives of animals and a commitment to best practice animal care standards.
  • A valid drivers license, registered vehicle, and a willingness to travel to other SuncoastVet clinics to fill critical shifts (if ever required).

Responsibilities

  • Undertake all aspects of veterinary medicine and care without the need for constant supervision. SuncoastVet Marcoola is a small practice, as such, operates with one veterinarian per day.
  • Contribute to developing strong, bond-centred relationships with clients and the community.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed according to WHS legislation, including the protection of psychological health and safety in the workplace.
