Experienced Veterinary Nurse - North Brisbane - Full Time or Part time considered
 
Wags Mobile Vet has a position available for an experienced Consult/Surgical Nurse.

We are a 1-2 Vet, 2 Nurse small animal mobile veterinary practice based in Cashmere, North Brisbane.  We perform home visits (dogs & cats only) primarily in the north Brisbane area and hire a local clinic  to perform routine procedures on our patients as needed.

We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse with the following skills:

• Perform Housecall Nurse consults (nail trims, anal gland expression, injections)
• Confident with anaesthesia monitoring & surgical nursing
• Being out on the road, assisting our Veterinarian with house call consultations, billing, clinical notes, animal handling with moderate level of fitness
• Safe, confident, fear free handling of dogs and cats
• Excellent knowledge in husbandry, nutrition, parasite prevention and sound awareness of common medical conditions seen in dogs and cats
• A keen interest to grow with the business, assisting our Lead Veterinarian with clinic protocols & introduction to business management, leading the nursing team, meetings and training
• Reception duties, excellent phone & written manner, assisting with client requests and being able to provide outstanding customer service to our clients. (Not primary role but able to cover with staff holidays) 

Full time and Part time applicants accepted, role needs to be at least 25 hours/week.  Flexible work arrangements can be accommodated.
