Are you an experienced vet who values a high standard of care in a supportive, non-corporate setting? Mountain Ranges Vet Clinic in Kinglake is looking for a compassionate, personable veterinarian to join our friendly team.

Why Join Us?

  • Mainly Small Animal Focus: Our caseload is 95% small animal, with an occasional sheep or goat. If you're a large animal vet, there's room for you too, as our clientele is open to this expertise!
  • Exceptional Team and Equipment: Work alongside experienced vets and helpful nurses in a well-equipped clinic with x-ray, digital processing, ultrasound, in-house IDEXX, IM3 dental base, dental x-ray, and more.
  • Balanced Work-Life Schedule: Work 3-5 days per week, including some Saturday mornings, but no after-hours shifts. We're committed to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
  • Varied and Rewarding Caseload: Handle an interesting mix of cases, from routine consults to emergencies. We also work with local wildlife and several wildlife carers and collaborate closely with Melbourne-based specialist vets for referrals when needed.
  • Commitment to Professional Growth: We encourage ongoing education with funding opportunities for continuing professional development.
  • Perks and Environment: A clinic vehicle is available for personal use if needed. The Kinglake area offers a welcoming small-town feel with essential amenities nearby, stunning Yarra Valley wineries and day spas just 20-30 minutes away, and Melbourne's CBD an accessible 1.25-hour drive.

What We're Looking For

  • A compassionate, enthusiastic veterinarian who values building long-term relationships with clients and their pets.
  • Someone who appreciates our community-centric approach, focusing on quality care without corporate pressures like KPIs or upselling.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude – we thrive in a supportive environment and value good collaboration.
  • A current driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • A willingness to expand into large animal care (e.g., sheep, goats) if applicable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle a varied caseload.
