Our emergency department works alongside our specialist surgical, medical, oncology, behaviour, and orthopaedic medicine & rehabilitation departments.

Our emergency department currently operates through the afternoon, evening and overnight period closing at 8am through the week, and is operational 24/7 on weekends and public holidays. We see primary consultations, patients referred from general practice clinics for overnight and ongoing care, and oversee the hospitalised referral department patients after hours.

- $70/hour remuneration, with either casual loading or after hour penalties for permanent full time/part time staff members commensurate with experience. Sign on and retention bonus’ on offer for the right candidates.

You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in rounds with our specialist departments, journal club, and M&M rounds.

About Your Skills & Experience
- Must hold a veterinary degree available for registration in the ACT
- Preferably 2+ years’ post-graduate experience. Emergency experience is highly desirable, however not essential as long as you’re willing to learn! New and recent graduates with a strong interest in emergency will be considered.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Excellent communication, organisation, and collaboration skills
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- A passion for excellent clinical service and patient care
