Seymour Veterinary Surgery is a family-owned and operated clinic with a friendly and supportive team providing high quality and personalised veterinary care for over 40 years.
We have an attractive, well-equipped clinic with IDEXX in-house pathology equipment, digital X-Ray, ultrasound, 2 consult rooms, Vision software, iM3 Dental equipment and a surgery room equipped with modern anaesthesia and monitoring equipment.
The Position:
We are ideally seeking a Mixed Animal Veterinarian but are happy to hear from Small Animal Veterinarians.
Experienced Veterinarians and New Graduates are welcome to apply.
Our ideal candidate would have some mixed practice experience, though we would certainly consider an experienced vet with a small animal focus or the right new graduate who is keen to learn and provide great service to our clients. Our vets are all experienced and comfortable mentoring new graduates.
You would be very well supported, working alongside our very experienced Principal Vet, 2 experienced part-time vets, 6 nurses and two junior nurses.
The hours and days can be flexible. Clinic hours are 9am-6pm Monday-Friday and 9am -12pm Saturday. We provide after-hours care for our clients.
We require you to assist us with small animal medical and surgical cases (soft tissue/routine) along with large animal medicine and occasional surgery if that is your preference.
We need you to have excellent communication skills and a friendly and supportive attitude.

- The region is renowned for beautiful scenery on hiking trails and its famous rail trails, is close to snow fields and an abundance of lovely local wineries to whet your taste buds yet close enough to the big city for sports or the nightlife. Seymour is also located on the stunning Goulburn River for boating, camping and fishing enthusiasts.
