Gray Street vet clinic is looking for a Mixed Practice Veterinarian or a predominantly small animal veterinarian to start as soon as possible. – Emerald Central Queensland - Small Animal Only Vets Welcome to apply.
Gray Street Veterinary Clinic is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate veterinarian to join their team of outstanding mixed practice veterinarians and nurses. The team at Gray Street Veterinary Clinic cares for clients like they are family and treats pets as if they were their own.
The clinic currently employs 4 full time veterinarians and 1 part time veterinarian with the new vet allowing the team to expand. Caseload is extremely broad and varied, and has a good mix of large and small animal services. The team deals with a diverse small animal caseload which gives vets accelerated learning and growth in this area. The clinic is accredited as a "Lincoln Institute Employer of choice", and we strive to set a positive culture in the workplace. Visiting specialist surgeon visits throughout the year to consult and train staff. We encourage learning and personal growth and offer full financial assistance with funding for CPD and conference attendance (this includes flights, accommodation and course registration costs).
Roster would be 1:5 weekends with on-call shared amongst 5 vets. All vets currently have 2 full RDOs every 4 weeks (work is a 9 day fortnight). If we can grow the team it may allow us to move vets to a 4 day roster which would give great work life balance. Wages are well above award and we will commensurate with experience. We are extremely passionate about CPE and encourage veterinarians to attend one paid conference every calendar year.
Experience is preferred but outstanding new graduates should definitely apply. Collectively the experience in our vet team exceeds 30 years. Support is always there when team members need to collaborate on cases and we welcome sharing ideas and working together in differential diagnosis in complex cases.
