Newest Clinic on the Block!!
We are excited to be opening a small animal hospital in 2025 to complement our vigorous and rapidly expanding mixed/equine ambulatory team. Vet in the Valley is a privately owned, 3 vet practice (4 in 2025!), predominately ambulatory practice with an equine base for hospitalisation and work ups. Our clients have begged us to expand our services and we have obliged.
The small animal hospital is currently undergoing renovations, and we are expected to have it up and running in mid-2025. The clinic is in the local town of New Norfolk which is about 35 minutes from central Hobart. The clinic will have all the standard bells and whistles – in house bloods, orthopaedics gear, two surgery rooms, dental gear, Xray tables, separate dog and cat wards, ultrasound ect.
We also do farm animals and equine work if that floats your boat. State of the art equipment, equine dental trailer, complete set of dental extraction equipment, Easi-scan ultrasound with goggles, pulsator, SLEIP lameness locator, gastroscope, ultrasound, Next digital radiology, fully equipped vehicles with a continual expanding clientele base. We do everything from farm animal disease outbreaks to Group 1 racehorses.
We have a very strong growth mindset with our practice drivers identified by current staff as team support and excellence. We aim to create a work environment that you don’t want to walk away from long term (but we will kick you out the door if you are working overtime!). We are a strong amazing team that have worked together to create a culture we all dream about (also we don’t mind making the odd TikTok together)!
This job is what you make it! We ideally are looking for a full-time experienced small animal only veterinarian, but we can honestly make anything work. As we develop our small animal clinic, we will value your opinions and inputs to ensuring this is the best clinic ever. We are in it for the long term, and we are determined to make this clinic something that resonates with our local community but also with our current team and we’d love someone else along for the ride.
Package:
- Salary depending on experience.
- 4 days a week for full time
- 4 weeks annual leave and 1 weeks paid study leave
