Furkids are not your standard practice! We provide more specific, higher skilled treatments for our clients and we are looking for an experienced vet that wants to focus on in depth medical workups or interesting cases or wants to expand their skill set in certain areas. You will still be able to do surgery if you would like to keep your hand in - but it’s not a must!

Furkids located in Greenbank a rural residential suburb southwest of Brisbane. This modern all-inclusive clinic offers cutting edge diagnostics, expertise, and professional service. Furkids is led by Dr Jo Beckett, who has 20 years’ experience and extensive knowledge in orthopaedics, soft tissue, reconstruction and reproduction. We have a high caseload of interesting patients, including Brachycephalic breeds, complex medical cases and reproduction.

We have everything and more than most, full in-house pathology, x-ray, dental, ultrasound, endoscope, and much, much more - We invest heavily in our staff and equipment which allows us to do more in house.

We put our patients first and get to practice great medicine. We really do believe that every individual matters and we go above and beyond for our patients. We pay our staff well and have no KPIs. Flexible roster - you can choose short days or long days whatever works for you.

Applicants must have the following:

Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or an equivalent degree recognised in Australia.
Worked in a veterinary clinic - both consultive and surgical (all levels of experience welcome).
Ability to work with fellow team members and build rapport with clients.
A positive ‘can do’ & friendly attitude.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
