We are looking for a vet to start immediately.  

We are a 6-vet practice working across two practices. Both practices are privately owned by two experienced vets – we each have over 36 years in practice so we can offer great professional support. Our employed vets have between 5 and 30 years of experience. We offer a collaborative approach to case protocol to ensure the best modern case care is given and everyone is approaching cases in the same way. We are moving our City Beach Vet practice to a new purpose-built facility in the next few months so this will be an exciting time for all.

Both practices are growing with City Beach owned by us for over 20 years whilst we opened Forrestdale Vet Hospital in a brand-new facility just over 6 years ago. We have wonderful staff and clients. The case load is varied with the opportunity to look at special interests. Both practices are well equipped, and we are open to change. We will consider vets with every level of experience – ideally, we seek vets with well-established competency in surgery and medicine as well as having great client rapport along with an excellent ability to communicate. Effective communication within the team and shared values are also important to us to ensure we continue to have a happy harmonious workplace.

General Information about our vet positions

• We work full days (8-7 or 9-6), so this means you mostly have 3-4 days a week off.
• Work one in two Saturdays (8:30-4 or 9-12)
• We are not open Sundays or Public Holidays
• No afterhours.
• All cases needing after hours care go to local emergency centres.
• We have Half Hour consults which makes the work load manageable.
• Pay rate is commensurate with experience and skills.
• Work is across both practices.

• Average hours 30-35 per week.
• Paid per hour of work.
• Start immediately.
