The finer details

• We are a well-equipped practice situated in a busy shopping centre, located a five-minute drive from the beach
• Cert IV applicants preferred, but we will consider applications that are actively studying for Cert IV and are competent with taking blood samples, placing i.v. catheters, monitoring anaesthetics, assisting with dental procedures etc.
• Knowledge of RX Works and Heska laboratory equipment is desirable but not essential.
• The role will include surgical nursing as well as consult nursing, with some reception duties as well. This includes supporting the vets during consults with efficient note taking, preparing medications, restraining patients, caring for hospital patients, prepping patients for surgery, monitoring anaesthesia, updating clients, processing insurance forms, and keeping in line with clinic protocols.
• This is a part-time position averaging 24-28 hours per week, although this may be flexible depending on applicants.
• The role will generally consist of a 3/4-day week, plus an occasional Saturday shift.
•  Pay award will be determined based on experience, with regular performance reviews to reassess this.
