We are sadly losing a much loved and integral member of our family. After being with us for nearly 10 years this dedicated vet is reluctantly leaving due to family commitments, so whilst we’re thrilled for her, our team are hurting. Can you help us to fill their shoes?
We’re looking for a kind and compassionate vet who listens to the clients needs and tailors their treatment to the individual patient and not corporate demands.
Vets who work with us repeatedly comment how different and wonderful our clients are. We believe that working with caring and dedicated clients who are willing to do the necessary diagnostics and the best possible treatments is key to both successful clinical outcomes and job satisfaction for us as vets. We are truly blessed with fantastic clients who seek us out for our reputation of caring and compassionate vet care that leads to peace of mind for them, and the best possible care for their pets. Over the 17 years that we have owned the practice we have worked hard on attracting and retaining these types of clients and we have also had a strong focus on encouraging pet insurance.
As the Gold Coast’s only ASAV Accredited Hospital of Excellence you can rest assured that we are well equipped with the necessary equipment to do our job well. We strive to provide a supportive environment with other like minded vets, a team of great nurses and a dedicated Customer Care team on Reception.
But to join our team you don’t have to be a “superstar vet” - none of us are perfect, so please don’t expect that of us! We are looking for a vet who strives to do their best, who believes that compassion and client communication are key to successful outcomes, and someone who wants the support to keep on improving. At Gold Coast Vet Surgery, not only is CPD encouraged and funded, but our package also includes membership of Lincoln Institute’s “Leading Edge” program and VIN. The clinic owners believe in mentorship and support to the whole team and we are ready to assist with those curly cases or snarly clients, leaving you to be the best vet that you can be and practice vet science the way it’s meant to be. We run the clinic collaboratively and your opinion will be considered and your contributions truly appreciated. As a compassionate, family orientated business you will work alongside the owners who understand your workload and challenges and there is no corporate head office to deal with.
We value a healthy lifestyle and encourage a good work-life balance. Our vets work a four day week with no after hours or Sunday work and family friendly business hours (8am – 5:30pm Mon to Fri and 8:30am – 12pm on Saturdays). Saturday mornings are on a one in four rotation, with a half day off the following Friday afternoon. We have an excellent local referral hospital (VSS) and two after hours emergency centres on our doorstep (AES & AEC) which means that you’ll still have the peace of mind that your patients will be very well cared for after hours.
