What We Offer
- Competitive Remuneration
- An attractive base salary starting at $120,000-$140,000 (negotiable based on experience), plus after hours, study & travel expenses for CPD. Total package could be over $160,000 for the right candidate.
- A 4 day working week (38 hours)
- Relocation allowance to ease your move to Emerald.

- Clinic hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday—no late consultations. A great roster with 1 in 5 weekends and one weeknight on-call. One-hour lunch breaks and dedicated time for note writing or case work-ups.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Mixed Animal Veterinarian to play a pivotal management role within our clinic.
This position involves:
- Leadership & Culture Partnering with the owners, lead vets, and head nurses to foster a positive culture of accountability, empathy, and openness.
- Mentoring and leading the veterinary team to achieve both clinical and commercial excellence.
- Operational Management Overseeing staffing requirements, including rosters, recruitment, onboarding, and inductions.
- Proactively managing clinical scheduling using EzyVet software.
- Ensuring compliance with all human resources and safety regulations for employees and contractors.
- Clinical Excellence
- Implementing and maintaining high standards of care in veterinary and nursing services.
- Providing consultations and performing surgeries as part of the regular roster.
- Communicating effectively with clients, offering support on inquiries, treatments, and follow-ups.
- Strategic Involvement Supportive owners with balanced decision-making processes.
- Overseeing new projects and initiatives as required.
About You
To excel in this role, you will have:
- A veterinary degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mixed animal practice.
- Proven leadership or human resources experience to mentor and guide our team.
- Strong knowledge of compliance to maintain statutory regulations and obligations.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with EzyVet practice management software.
