As an ASAV Accredited Hospital, we proudly operate with a high standard of care. Our team of five vets, seven qualified nurses, four student nurses and three dedicated reception/administration staff pride themselves on excellent patient care combined with superior customer service. Our building is the only old thing about our hospital, but it is fitted out with all the toys:
- Fully equipped in-house Idexx laboratory, including the Sedivue machine.
- Fully equipped for dentistry including digital dental radiography.
- Digital DR radiography and ultrasound.
- Multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring including capnography, SpO2, ECG and blood pressure.

Experienced or new graduate applicants would receive strong support within the Apiam framework. Our team has nurtured many successful new graduates and have the patience, time and teaching skills to ensure you flourish. Regional practice will offer you plenty of variety and opportunities to thrive. You will grow your experience in quality preventative care, routine surgery (and if you are interested, more complicated ones too), dentistry, emergency (snakebites and grass seeds galore) and work up complicated cases. Referral to Melbourne is accessible when needed.
We believe in collaboration and our chatty sounding boards love to bounce cases around at our weekly vet meeting.
Afterhours is shared with the neighbouring clinic, resulting in approximately 1 in 8 weekends on call. Afterhours is fully supported by a trained triage team to filter out nuisance calls and take deposits.
Paid staff training takes place after lunch every Wednesday afternoon. It is a chance for us to catch up on the week, plan, and continue our professional development together. Our experienced vets, and our stable, qualified nursing team are well versed in mentoring new vets and love to teach. We practice team consulting, so you are supported in every consult by a nurse.
