We are looking for an exceptional veterinarian to join our team.
Happy Paws Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned small animal clinic located in the northern end of the Gold Coast, opened in 2017 by Dr Vanessa.
"My why: Since graduating in 1999 I have worked in a variety of independently owned and corporate practices throughout Canada, UK and Australia. I dreamt of a clinic where 30 minute consultations would be considered standard in order to deliver exceptional service, be thorough and still have enough time to develop a relationship with the clients. A clinic where they embrace team culture based on respect and integrity, working alongside people who share a true passion for their job and enjoy coming to work, where mistakes were viewed as learning opportunities and feedback is welcomed. 7 years on, not only has this dream come true but we have become bigger and better with a recently completed expansion to the clinic! What we need from you…
- Confidently perform in all areas of general practice
- The ability to promote a positive environment and forging positive relationships both internally and externally (you must be able to have a good laugh!)
- A non-judgmental approach, maintaining sensitivity to everyone’s individual situations, backgrounds and decisions
- Proven track record of strong resilience and empathy within the workplace
- Accuracy and clarity in communications with clients and team
- Ability to maintain composure in high pressure situations
- Love to love people at their best and through their challenging times
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Identify areas of improvement for patient care and implement change where appropriate
- Experience in ultrasound is highly desired, but not essential
- Interest/experience in surgery is highly desired, but not essential

This is a full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight with the spread of hours being 4 days during the week (8am to 5:30pm) and every second Saturday (8am to 12midday).
