About us:

Chelsea Vet Clinic is a small animal clinic based in the Bayside suburb of Chelsea, and only a 2-minute walk to pristine beaches.

Chelsea Vet Clinic is a privately owned practice and has been for over 20 years.

We offer everything your average GP clinic offers plus more! We often work up complex medical cases, perform advanced soft tissue surgery & orthopaedics. With access to digital X-Ray machine, Ultrasound, Endoscope, iM3 dental scaler and X-Ray machine, and in-house IDEXX Pathology, including Sedivue urine analysis.

We have strong and trusting relationships with our clients and go over and beyond to care for our patients.

Our hours of operation are:

    • Monday 8:30am – 8pm
    • Tuesday 8:30am – 8pm
    • Wednesday 8:30am – 6pm
    • Thursday 8:30am – 8pm
    • Friday 8:30am – 8pm
    • Saturday 8:30am – 2pm

Job opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Veterinarian to work 1- 2 days per week, with the opportunity for more when required and cover annual leave where possible. We require you to be available Wednesdays 9:00 – 6:00pm, and either Thursday or Friday (alternating) or by negotiation.

You will be able to work alongside our head Veterinarian/Owner and always be supported by our dedicated team of nurses.

No public holidays or Sundays!

Duties:

  • Consultations and ongoing care of medical patients
  • Dentals (iM3 X-Rays and Scaler)
  • Soft Tissue surgeries
  • Routine surgeries
  • Non-routine surgeries

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a BVSc or equivalent, and registration to practice in Victoria
  • Have 2+ years of experience within a general practice
  • Strong general surgery skills
  • The ability to work well within a team environment and build rapport with clients
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A love of animals, and passion for the industry
  • A sense of humour!
