We are looking for a Veterinary Superstar!
Pinjarra Veterinary Hospital is looking to expand our team! We are looking for a Small Animal Veterinarian that is driven to provide Gold Standard Care for their patients and clients and is continuously expanding their skills and knowledge.
We are not looking for someone that just wants to “sell” another Vaccine but provide the best Health choices for each individual patient, following International and National recommended guidelines and what is appropriate for our local area and the patient’s lifestyle.
We have two clinics, the Main clinic – Pinjarra Veterinary Hospital, and our branch clinic – Ravenswood Small Animal Clinic. Both are self-contained hospitals, able to provide most services that a patient may require. For specialists, we have access to a number of mobile specialists that are able to come and see your patient in the clinic, so you are able to follow your treatment plan through its entirety. Consulting hours are 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays, and our after-hours emergencies are referred to local Emergency Centres.
About the role – we encourage patient follow through the entire treatment plan and encourage the development of life-time bonds with your clients. We are advocates of fear-free handling and our consult times allow the patient to get comfortable to ensure a pleasant experience for the patient, their owner and the Veterinarian. There may be some periods of sole charge, so someone that is comfortable with their foundation knowledge and basic surgery would be ideal. Ideally, we are after someone Full-Time, however, we understand that work-life balance is important, and will also consider Part-Time applicants.
Pinjarra is located approx. 15 minutes out of the centre of Mandurah, approx. an hour south of Perth. We are surrounded by hills for the hikers, and a short drive away from lovely pristine beaches. There are local rivers for relaxing water sports such as fishing and paddle boarding and local restaurants and pubs round out the night life. We encourage team bonding, and you can usually find a team-mate who will be happy to join you on some local adventuring.
