Our small animal practice, which also treats local wildlife, is seeking a skilled and compassionate veterinarian to join our team.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, excellent communication skills, and a genuine love for animals. As a veterinarian at our clinic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions in pets and wildlife, performing soft tissue surgeries, and providing preventive care and wellness advice to pet owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations of pets and wildlife to assess their health and diagnose illnesses or injuries
  • Prescribe and administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as needed
  • Perform surgical procedures, including spaying/neutering, dental surgeries, and emergency surgeries
  • Providing emergency care as needed
  • Provide preventive care and wellness advice to pet owners, including nutrition, exercise, and parasite control
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with other veterinary professionals and support staff to provide high-quality care
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Holds a veterinary degree and is registered to practice in Western Australia
  • Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in small animal practice
  • Is experienced or has an interest in working with wildlife
  • Demonstrates excellent diagnostic and surgical skills
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is compassionate, dedicated, and eager to learn
