Nissen Street Veterinary Surgery is a family owned, 5 vet clinic with a strong following, conveniently located close to Hervey Bay’s medical precinct. Purpose built in 2020 with modern, new equipment and fixtures, on a spacious block with large lawns and heaps of parking, Nissen Street Veterinary Surgery has become popular and fast building a great reputation under Dr Candice Loft. We are committed to compassionate & professional pet care, striving to offer an affordable and reliable health care service to our clients and their pets. About the role:

We are currently looking for Small Animal Veterinarians to join our awesome team of dedicated and driven Vets and Nurses. This position will report to the Veterinary Director.

Our clinic includes:

  1. Separate Lab with; IDEXX ProCyte Dx, Catalyst One, SediVue Dx, VetLab UA, Vcheck and the rest of your usual lab toys
  2. Digital Xray
  3. Dental Xray
  4. IM3 Dental Unit
  5. MyLabOmega Ultrasound
  6. Separate vet offices
  7. Separate dog and cat areas and a dedicated lead lined X-ray room
  8. Separate lunch rooms, as well as outside covered seating in quiet space, to ensure your breaks are peaceful with no phones ringing and dogs barking

Successful candidate qualities:

  • BVSc or equivalent and able to obtain a QLD Veterinary Surgeon registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred however all applicants encouraged to apply
  • Strong focus on maintaining a high standard through collaborative teamwork and building long term client relationships.
  • Strong commitment to Gold Standards of care
