Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has opened for Urgent Care Vets (casual or part-time permanent – 2 positions) to join our Urgent Care team.
The role
Shifts are available during the morning, afternoon, evening and nights Monday-Sunday, and range from 4 to 10 hours. Combine this with an ongoing job, make this your permanent part-time job or work around your other life commitments – it’s all possible!
Multiple roles are available, including permanent part-time (starting from 8 hours/week) and casual. Financial loading and other incentives apply providing an attractive salary (above market rate) which will grow with you as you develop your career.

The Austin Urgent Care:
The Austin Urgent Care is available 24 hours per day Monday to Sunday. The daily work will revolve around providing immediate medical attention for pets requiring care, and tending to the hospitalised patients. You will be able to provide the best possible care for patients, using all the equipment. On a daily basis, you will interact, and learn from, a supportive specialist team (Internal Medicine, Surgery, Imaging, Ophthalmology). These are available 24/7 either in person or on call.

Our custom-built hospital (1200m2) is designed around a synergistic approach to patient care. Between departments in urgent care, surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and imaging, we work as one team to ensure outstanding patient care and exceptional customer service.
Our hospital has all the instruments necessary to enable our team to relish their chosen careers, and flourish. This includes intensive care facilities, large central treatment area, surgery wing, full suite of imaging equipment and dedicated medicine room.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and expertise:
- Veterinary degree that is recognised in South Australia
- Minimum of 2+ years of demonstrable patient care experience
- Enjoy Urgent Care/Emergency and Critical Care
- Be passionate about, and a proven track record of, delivering the highest standards of patient care, going above and beyond to help our clients and their pets
- Possess initiative and a positive mindset
