We are looking for a vet who really wants to make a difference to the lives of pets and their families. A vet who wants to be a part of an incredible industry, and be incredible in it.
But it is not all work - this is a family practice and we also enjoy socialising together. Every 3 months we plan a social function and once a year there is a weekend away - this year it is a 3 night comedy cruise 🥳
You will want to drive yourself a little harder to excel and to impress. You have very well trained and talented vet and vet nurse team-mates supporting you, as well as pet loving and doting clients.
Your salary? Relative to your enthusiasm and value that comes with you but expect a recent grad to start at $80,000 (new grad $60,000) plus super for a full-time position or pro-rata for part-time. You show us you are Dr Incredible - we will be happy to pay you accordingly.
If you have skills we don’t have equipment for and you can justify your needs - then ask.
You will enhance your chances if you have:
- More than 3 years experience in small animal practice
- Well-honed routine medical and surgical skills
- An ability to work sole charge from time to time
- A desire to pursue a special interest, or alternative/natural therapies

Cityvet is a family owned (non-corporate) multi-location small animal practice located on the South side of Brisbane about 20 minutes from the city centre, and 40 minutes from the Gold Coast.
The clinics are equipped with lots of toys - procytes, catalysts, sedivue urinalysis machines, digital and dental xrays, ultrasound, iM3 dental suites, grooming salons, even coffee machines!! We do a number of advanced surgical procedures - soft tissue tumour removals with skin flaps, liver lobectomies, orthopaedic surgeries including TPLO’s, TTA’s, MPL corrections, FHO’s, fracture repairs. Our staff love satisfying their professional curiosities!
There is also a regular visiting ultrasound and internal medicine specialist just a phone call away.
