Parkinson Veterinary Surgery is a small but busy, family managed practice located on Brisbane’s southside. As our business expands, we see a need for another full-time, small animal experienced veterinarian to join our team. Our hospital is fully equipped with state of the art diagnostic tools, including Canon DR system, Phillips A7 and Mylab 5 Ultrasounds, Zoetis VS2 Biochemistry, HM5 Haematology, Imagyst, cPL, PT/aPTT, and urinalysis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for;

• Conducting thorough examinations and diagnosing a variety of health issues.
• Developing and implementing high standard treatment plans for patients.
• Supporting animals and their families with compassion, especially during the end of life stage.
• Performing a range of routine and non-routine procedures and surgeries, dentistry, exploratory laparotomies and caesareans.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Performing daily tasks to ensure smooth workflow.  

About you;

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a small animal clinic.
• Ability to work autonomously, as well as in a strong, value-focused team of Vets, Nurses and Support staff.
• High levels of positive energy, motivation, and passion.
• Ability to work under pressure and be solution-focused.
• Ability to confidently perform procedures and tasks to a high standard.
• Ability to confidently diagnose and treat a range of health issues, including emergent ones.
• Provides impeccable customer service and genuine client care.
• Interest in professional growth with ongoing training and continued education.
• Effective time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
• Experience in exotics, orthopaedic surgery and/or ultrasonography is advantageous.
• Available to work a Full-time, with hours ranging from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday, and 9-1pm on rotating Saturdays.
