JOIN AN EXCITING AND BUSY COUNTRY VET PRACTICE

Benetook Veterinary Clinic is currently inviting veterinary surgeons with any level of experience to apply for a part-time or full-time role within our team.

Based in the thriving town of Mildura, we are a mixed practice that offers a purpose-built small animal hospital and equine facility. While you will mainly find yourself working with dogs, cats and other domestic pets, you will also have the opportunity to treat horses, cattle, sheep and wildlife from the local area.

Our facilities offer:

• Digital x-ray machine
• Ultrasound with colour doppler
• Multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring equipment
• In-house laboratory and cytology
• Endoscope
• Im3 dental equipment
• Orthopedic instruments

As a Vet Surgeon, your caseload will include emergency treatments, general medicine and surgery, plus the ability to perform orthopaedic procedures if you have an interest in this area.

Where skill and expertise allow, we will encourage you to follow cases through from consult to discharge. Junior surgeons will be supported by senior vets as they build their careers.   

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• BVSc or equivalent and a registration to practice in Australia

About Our Team

Every day at Benetook Vet Clinic is different and there is a lot of fun to be had as part of this thriving practice. 

We have a large team of qualified and enthusiastic vet practitioners and nurses who are there to support you during and after business hours.

There is a strong emphasis on the discussion of cases between colleagues at rounds each day, and we are a practice that is used to supporting new graduates as they embark on their careers.

Salary and Hours

Salary will be discussed on application.

After-hours operations are limited to weekends and public holidays from 8:30 am -5 pm. Duties are shared across all veterinary surgeons, with a 4-day rostered weekend off during each cycle.

A full-time work week averages 38 hours per week, but part-time flexible positions can also be available for the right candidate.

TOIL (time off in lieu) is accrued for any additional hours worked and paid out if not used in a 3-month period.

Moving to Mildura

Benetook Veterinary Clinic is located close to the centre of town.

Relocation assistance is available and you have the option to live in our on-site accommodation for a three-month period, to help you with your transition.
