Yanchep Veterinary Hospital is seeking a veterinarian to join our team consisting of 3 full time veterinarians, 8 veterinary nurses and 2 trainee veterinary nurses. We are looking for either an experienced or a new or recent graduate veterinarian to join our team on a full or part time basis. The role would be a medical and surgical role with areas of speciality supported and encouraged.
The hospital is open Monday-Friday 8:30am-6pm and Saturdays 9am-1pm. You would be working set days, we are envisioning the days will be negotiable, some or all Saturday shifts, depending on preference. No after hours. We are closed on Public Holidays, and we work by appointment. We prioritise our team members’ physical and mental health, we provide weekly 10-minute seated massage, or a 10-minute meditation session and lunch breaks are compulsory. But we know enjoying what you do is very important so, while we are committed to our work, the atmosphere is fun and engaging.
We are a busy, small animal veterinary hospital located in the northern beachside suburb of Yanchep. Yanchep is a rapidly developing commuter belt for Perth, located 56kms north of the CBD, and is famed for the remarkable Yanchep National Park - a haven for Grey Western Kangaroos, superb displays of wildflowers during the spring, and broad, well-maintained parklands beside lakes which are ideal for picnics, parties, and barbecues. The work is always interesting as we see a number of emergencies and medical cases from far and wide. We also have a busy and varied surgical case load and also provide advanced dentistry. We have visiting specialists to do our TPLO’s as well as Dental and Ophthalmic surgeons. We pride ourselves on providing the best quality of care and we are fully equipped to provide these services to our client base. You will work amongst a supportive, enthusiastic group of people, alongside team members who are passionate about animals and well supported by a qualified and experienced nursing team. Our hospital is purpose built and we offer in-house ultrasound and digital x-ray with a dedicated imaging room, in-house urinalysis, and full blood machines (IDEXX), digital dental x-ray, full IM3 dental suite and doppler.
