Due to growth, Bundoora Veterinary Hospital is looking for an Experienced Nurse to add to our fantastic team.

Privately owned by Vet Directors working within the Business, we operate 3 general Practice Clinics in Mill Park and St Helena, and a 24hr Extended GP/Emergency Centre at our main location in Bundoora. We have just opened our brand-new GP space in January and are looking at expanding our team as our Client base and General Practice services grow!

This role is to work primarily at our Bundoora Clinic, where our nurses rotate through our different departments - such as Hospital Nurse, Surgery nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Circulating Nurse and possibly some GP shifts at our sister clinics in Mill Park and St Helena.

Our Bundoora Clinic is a busy, fast paced environment where teamwork and communication is vital. We cater for routine appointments and procedures - as well as a huge variety of Emergencies & also specialist procedures.

We are passionate about providing high level, affordable pet care.

Our rosters include a variety of hours spread across the week and weekends with a mix of daytime and afternoon and evening shifts.

We have an amazing team of Vets, Nurses & Receptionists with varying levels of experience & skills - including those with Zoo/Wildlife experience and Avian/exotic experience.

Our environment is one of support, knowledge/skill sharing, constant learning and plenty of fun. We are provided with a full kitchen of fresh food, drinks & snacks and have a family feel amongst our staff.

About You:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) and minimum of 12 months Experience in Clinic.
• The ability to work in a fast-past environment with a can-do attitude.
• Excellent, confident communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work unsupervised but also as part of a close-knit and high-performing team.
• Compassionate and resilient in times of stress.
• Experience/Interest in Emergency and Critical Care will be highly regarded but not essential.

If you have these skills OR a solid grounding in general practice Veterinary Nursing with a high level of flexibility, enthusiasm, initiative, and a willingness to learn new skills, this may be the job for you.
