About us and our location

We are located in beautiful Townsville and are passionate about what we do. We believe in the best in patient care and excellence in veterinary science and customer service. Our services include general surgery, dentals, radiology, ultrasound and referral options, a variety of soft tissue surgery such as soft palate/nares and anal gland resection, and a large variety of orthopaedic surgeries such as TTA’s, FHO, patella and fracture repair. We have separate isolation, dog and cat wards, theatre and digital x-ray, dental and knockdown areas, and a recovery area. We ensure excellent veterinary services by utilizing the highest standard of care and staying abreast of the most recent advancements in medicine for our furry, scaly, and feathered friends.

We are a close team consisting of 3 vets, 1 practice manager, 6 nurses and 1 kennel hand that regularly catch up outside of work for drinks and exploring what Far North Queensland has to offer. We are all quite active and enjoy living a full lifestyle.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate Full-Time Veterinary Nurse (or part-time for the right candidate) to join our dedicated team of professionals, all committed to providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be organised, a strong communicator, and enjoy building meaningful relationships with both clients and colleagues.

The Position – our ideal candidate

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is desirable.
  • Efficiently complete general nursing tasks, including but not limited to;
    • surgical & imaging procedures,
    • patient care, pathology,
    • emergencies, and critical care patients.
  • Have high standards and attention to detail, with exceptional customer service and strong communication skills.
  • Motivated and positive can-do attitude.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a high performing team.
  • Ability to work rotational Saturdays with some weekends and after hours call outs as required (this roster is shared with weekend work limited).
