Vet Nurse/Vet Tech Position - Permanent Part time position, Newstead Brisbane
Newstead Vets is looking for an experienced Vet Nurse or Vet Tech to join the team in our gold-standard privately owned veterinary clinic in the heart of Newstead, Brisbane.
You'll be working with a small, but passionate, team that takes pride in excellent veterinary care and great client relationships.

The role is Part time, but casual can be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
- Exceptional customer relations and communication in front of house.
- Assist veterinarians with consultations.
- Assist with client bookings and manage clinic appointment schedule.
- Deliver patient care to surgery admissions and inpatients.
- Manage anaesthetics and set up for surgery.
- Maintain and prepare surgical kits and instruments.
- Place IV catheters, take blood and run diagnostic tests.
- Perform and record pathology procedures.
- Maintain clinic hygiene and perform cleaning routines.
About you:
- You have a Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or BAppSc (Veterinary Technology) or equivalent.
- You have 2 years or more experience in the industry.
- You're passionate about animals and respectful of clients.
- You’re confident in both your anaesthesia and reception.
- You're a people person and want to build trusting relationships with clients.
- You're a self-starter who works well in a team.
- You're flexible and accountable with great work ethics.
