Are you a skilled and passionate veterinary nurse with a strong interest in anaesthesia? Enquire about this unique full-time opportunity to work as part of our surgery and anaesthesia supported by a team of expert specialists.

The role

Our Anaesthesia Nursing team supports our Surgical and ECC departments. We are experts in soft-tissue surgery (cardiothoracic, gastrointestinal and urinary tract), surgical oncology, orthopaedic surgery, total hip replacements, neurosurgery and minimally invasive surgery. As a valued team member, you will perform anaesthesia (from patient evaluation to recovery) and be your patient's best advocate during that time. You will be expected to deliver a gold-standard level of nursing care. You will also enhance your knowledge and capability by working with and alongside two specialists in Anaesthesia and Analgesia.

Ideal candidate

• Certificate IV or equivalent qualification in veterinary nursing
• 4+ years’ experience is preferred - but all nurses are welcome to apply
• A professional and positive demeanour
• A strong desire to pursing additional education and a commitment to professional development
• Ability to work efficiently with initiative in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to problem solve & think on your feet
• Good organisational skills
• Knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
• High proficiency in monitoring anaesthesia
• Advanced anaesthesia training will be looked at favourably
