Manly Road 24hr Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned, multi-faceted Veterinary Hospital located in the beautiful bayside suburb of Manly West in Brisbane. We provide General Practice and 24hr Emergency care, as well as a range of pet medical and surgical services including ophthalmology, preventative care, orthopaedics, dental health, ultrasonography, endoscopy, and clinical pathology. Current Opportunity

We are currently looking for a passionate Vet Nurse/Technician who has a keen interest in small animal dentistry with advanced anaesthetic experience. Dental nurses typically work up to 4 x 9.5 hours shifts per week on a rotating 7 day roster with the first shifts starting at 6am and the last ones finishing at 10.30pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform scale and polish and basic oral examinations.
• Working knowledge of periodontal disease, resorptive lesions, fractured teeth etc
• Monitoring and documenting patient vital signs during procedures and recovery.
• Experience with surgical preparation, anaesthesia monitoring and post-operative care.
• Place IV catheters and blood collection for surgical, hospital and ER patients.

Ideal Candidates:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and/or Bachelor of Applied Science (Veterinary
• Technology) or equivalent.
• Willing to be flexible with rosters.
• Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques.
• Excellent communications skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Great customer service skills.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
