The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) is Australia’s largest and most distinguished animal referral and emergency hospital network, you will have the opportunity to work in a state of art Emergency and ICU facility providing exceptional care to pets and their families.
As a senior nurse you will continue to provide hands on clinical care as one of two Emergency Nurse Leads to ensure the smooth running of the day to day needs.

As a senior nurse you will continue to provide hands on clinical care as one of two Emergency Nurse Leads to ensure the smooth running of the day to day needs.
- Provide 1:1 mentoring, coaching and on the job training to develop team members
- Admission & triage of emergency patients and perform treatments and post-operative care
- Providing support for all medical procedures on critical care patients for the day or night
- Plan and perform anaesthesia for unstable or critically ill patients
- Management of Client communication upon admission and discharge
- Communication with clients when admitting and discharging a patient

- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar emergency, referral or after-hours care environment
- Experience in a leadership or senior position overseeing a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively balance competing demands in a professional manner
- Demonstrated experience problem solving and the ability to manager competing priorities.
