NQ Care is a brand-new Emergency and Referral Veterinary Hospital that opened its doors in Townsville in January 2025. We’re on the lookout for a full-time ECC veterinarian to join our team of 11 vets! This position isn’t due to someone leaving—instead, it’s to support our growing team while one of our much-loved vets takes maternity leave. As such, we can offer flexibility around the start date.

The Role

You’ll be part of a collaborative ECC team, rotating across a 24/7 roster that includes daytime, overnight, and weekend shifts. You’ll work alongside a highly experienced nursing team and a supportive group of medical and surgical clinicians who genuinely enjoy teaching, learning, and delivering care together.

Who You Are

You're an experienced vet who thrives in a fast-paced emergency environment. You're calm under pressure, curious about cases, and genuinely love working as part of a team.

What we’re looking for:

• A genuine interest in emergency and critical care
• Excellent communication skills—with both referring vets and your internal team
• Strong clinical reasoning and case management ability
• Genuine commitment to supporting colleagues and working collaboratively
• Excitement to work on the cases no one saw coming (and no skin/ear consults in sight)

Essential Requirements:

• BVSc or equivalent, registrable in Queensland
• Queensland radiation license
• 4+ years post-grad veterinary experience (we’ll consider less for exceptional candidates)
• ECC experience and/or MANZCVS (ECC) is a bonus, not a dealbreaker
