Emergency Vet

Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH)

Tuggerah, Central Coast Full-Time Posted 5 days, 6 hours ago

Job Description

SASH offers the team a truly collaborative experience, ensuring the best outcomes for our patients and their families. Our emergency team is well-staffed with our Criticalist Dr Lisa Smart, very experienced emergency vets, and specialised nurses; all working closely with the entire SASH network of specialists. You will have access to internal medicine, radiology, surgery, ophthalmology, oncology, cardiology, dermatology, anaesthesia and rehab on site, along with our team in North Ryde providing neurology, neurosurgery, exotics, dentistry, radiation oncology and pathology.

Not sure about the Central Coast? It's just one hour North of Sydney and offers both urban beach side living with rural and rainforest lifestyles to choose from.

About the position:

The SASH team is known for being a positive and supportive workplace and our emergency team is no exception. Ensuring our team has a healthy work-life balance is our top priority which is reflected in our shift structures, clinical support staff and our low staff turnover. There is a preference to hire a permanent full-time vet, being 3 shifts per week and usually in a block. However, a permanent part-time position for the right person will be considered. Career growth opportunities also exist for the right person.

As we offer 24 hour care, our shift blocks vary, between evenings, overnights and weekend days. Great care is taken to make a fair roster, with the needs of the individual, as well as the entire team taken into consideration. Public holidays and weekends are shared equally on a rotating basis between the team. If you are interested, but unsure regarding the roster structure, please reach out; I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
