The Role (FIFO, Casual)
- Roster: 2 weeks on (8.5-day fortnight with weekend work) / 2 weeks off (Fly‑In Fly‑Out)
- Included: Return flights or fuel from your home base, accommodation and a car for the duration of each on‑roster period
- Caseload: 100% small animals
- After-hours: Until 9pm and shared with a nearby Apiam clinic and well supported by Apiam’s Vetriage service (experienced nurses filter all calls and take deposits for you); additional remuneration applies for after-hours work (on call fee plus 50% of after-hours professional fees)
- Team & support: Collaborative vets and nurses
- Equipment: Ultrasound, digital radiography, in‑house bloods, orthopaedic kit and more- so you can do high‑quality work on site
- Remuneration $75-$85/hour plus Super
About you
You are an experienced, confident small animal vet who enjoys jumping into a busy clinical day, working closely with a supportive team and building great client relationships in a regional community. You are enthusiastic and motivated and keen to contribute to a positive, solutions focused culture.
Life outside of work
On your weeks on, you’ll be based in Tannum Sands in the beautiful Gladstone area of Central Queensland- perfect for camping, fishing, diving, snorkelling and 4WDing. It’s a welcoming regional community with a stable local economy and plenty to explore on your time off. On your two weeks off, you head home to rest and recharge and do the things you enjoy.
