Across our group we have a vibrant and diverse team of vets, veterinary nurses, veterinary technicians, and additional support staff. The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated full-time Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our clinic. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in veterinary practice management, exceptional leadership skills, a genuine passion for animal care and team development. This position will be predominantly based at our Cleveland Veterinary Clinic but may require assisting across our 2 other clinics – Nundah Village and Central New Farm. It will see you working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and patients. The role will be a fixed-term maternity leave contract starting from 11th August 2025 until 29th May 2026, with potential opportunities for ongoing permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Veterinarian to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic, optimising both workflow and patient care.
- Mentor and develop veterinary nurses, providing guidance and support to help them advance in their careers.
- Lead and supervise clinic staff, fostering a positive, collaborative, and productive team environment.
- Assist the Lead Vet in overseeing financial management.
- Coordinate workforce management with the Lead Vet.
- Maintain key relationships with partners.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe and clean clinic environment.
- Address client inquiries and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and effective communication.
- Work closely with veterinarians to enhance patient care and contribute to continuous service improvements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in veterinary practice management or a similar managerial role within a clinical environment.
- Certificate IV in Vet Nursing will be highly regarded but not mandatory.
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively address and resolve issues that arise within the clinic.
- Availability to work Monday through to Friday.
