Bankstown Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time associate veterinarian to join our caring and friendly team.

• We are a practice of two well established small animal veterinary hospitals in Bankstown and Peakhurst in operation for 77 and 30 years respectively. Our full team works across both locations.

Practice Setup:

• Main hospital: Bankstown Veterinary Hospital.
• Second hospital: Boundary Road Veterinary Hospital, Peakhurst (10-15 mins away).
• Our existing 4 full time veterinarians include full time supportive owner.
• Practice & Business Manager.
• Experienced full and part time head nurses and another 7 nurses (no casuals as we desire stability)
• Part time receptionist and an animal attendant.
• Linked practice management and other systems with an innovative and progressive IT focus.
• Equipped with full surgical facilities, Canon DR x-ray, IM3 dental x-ray, Esaote MyLab Sigma ultrasound, in-house laboratory at each location including IDEXX Catalyst Dx, ProCyte One, SediVue, UA Analyser, SNAPshot Dx, IM3 dental & Vet-Tome equipment, multi parameter monitoring, heated anaesthetic circuits and bair hugger for optimal patient care. We are always looking at expanding and improving our facilities and client/patient capabilities.

• Consult length 30 min for most appointment types.
• We close all public holidays and between Christmas and New Years.
• Experienced full-time owner vet with open approach for case management and mentoring.
• For recent grad applicants, we have participated in the USYD extramural program for 10+ years, have helped several new grads begin practising and are motivated to support new veterinarians starting in the profession.
• Having listed all of the above, we aren’t perfect, but we never rest on our laurels and allow stagnation. We love what we do and are always looking to improve our practice and workplace.

• Remuneration commensurate with experience, additional skill/interest areas if applicable and market. We have a fully optional bonus incentive scheme for vets and generous in-house discounts for all our team members.
