About This Role

You may already have been a veterinarian for a few years and have an interest in medicine or surgery. This role will allow you to hone those skills while also being at the forefront of best-practice preventative medicine. We recognize that our team members are people first, and as a result, we are open to being flexible in our working arrangements. Please discuss your requirements with us at your interview.

About our Team

You will be part of a team of four full-time vets and four casual vets, all of whom make our veterinary team incredibly strong and pleasurable to work with.

Our nurses and animal attendants are exceptionally trained and dedicated to providing the best care possible. Our customer-focused receptionist delivers outstanding service, while our remote receptionist enables our on-site staff to focus entirely on our clients and patients, ensuring they receive the attention they deserve.

The Veterinary director/owner attends the hospital twice weekly to assist with orthopaedic and complex surgeries if required. Our vets have the opportunity to scrub into his surgeries to assist and learn.

Our dedicated team boasts extensive experience in both medicine and surgery, enabling us to effectively handle a wide range of surgical procedures and manage complex medical cases with confidence. We are proud to offer comprehensive care that often eliminates the need for referrals, ensuring our patients receive seamless treatment.

Shift Pattern

You will be a part of a 4-week rotating roster doing an average of 156 hours/month. This roster includes a combination of surgery and consulting shifts. You will be required to work one Saturday and one Sunday each month from 8 AM to 4 PM.

About You

  • A minimum of three years' experience practicing in Australia.
  • You enjoy collaborating with a team of skilled veterinarians to maintain a high standard of patient care.
  • You demonstrate genuine care and compassion for pets and their owners.
  • You possess a bright and enthusiastic personality, with a passion for cultivating strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • You are competent and thorough when handling medical cases.
  • You feel confident performing routine surgeries.
