Are you an experienced Veterinarian ready to step into a dynamic, advanced practice where you can put your skills to full use and mentor the next generation of Vets? Gladesville Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full-time vet with 5–10 years' experience who can hit the ground running and contribute meaningfully to our friendly team.

About Us

Gladesville Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, purpose-built clinic in Sydney's Lower North Shore. We go beyond the typical GP veterinary practice by offering advanced services such as:

  • Complex dental procedures
  • Nuclear medicine treatments (training available)
  • Trigger point therapy
  • Comprehensive imaging (ultrasound, x-ray)
  • Wildlife care and hospitalisation
  • Boarding services

Our facility includes:

  • 6 consult rooms
  • 2 dedicated surgical suites
  • In-house pathology

We are a very busy hospital with a large, loyal and active client base — so you'll need to be able to multi-task, manage a wide caseload, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Every day brings a variety of cases and challenges, which makes it an incredibly rewarding role for a Veterinarian who thrives on being busy and staying engaged.

We're a large, collaborative team of 40 team members including 10 Veterinarians, and we pride ourselves on a diverse, supportive workplace with a strong focus on patient care and continuous learning.

The Role

This is a full-time position (38–40 hours per week) with a rotating monthly schedule across:

  • Consult shifts – seeing clients and their pets
  • Hospital shifts – managing inpatients and emergencies
  • Surgical shifts – performing scheduled surgeries
  • Weekend availability (Saturday shifts) is essential
  • You'll also play a role in mentoring new graduate Veterinarians and sharing your clinical wisdom with the wider team.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–10 years' clinical experience in a small animal practice
  • Efficient, confident, and autonomous in managing cases
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to prioritise in a busy hospital environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Willingness to learn new techniques (e.g. nuclear medicine)
  • Comfortable supervising and teaching newer vets
  • Preferable to have previous experience with RxWorks and Smartflow

Why Join Us?

  • Work alongside a passionate, skilled team
  • Access to advanced diagnostics and procedures
  • Structured mentorship opportunities
  • Supportive management and continuing education encouraged
  • Varied caseload that keeps every day interesting
