FULL TIME VETERINARY NURSE SUNSHINE COAST

We are an independent, equine and small animal practice with a tight-knit team dedicated to being an advocate for animal welfare and providing excellent service for our clients. We are located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. With the addition of a specialist equine surgeon to our team, we are looking to add another 2 nurses to our growing team.

Sunshine Coast Equine Veterinary Clinic opened the first and only equine surgical facility on the Sunshine Coast, with three highly experienced equine veterinarians and five vet nurses. We offer a range of equine services including surgery, internal medicine, ambulatory practice, lameness, dentistry and diagnostic imaging. Our small animal clinic provides routine and preventative care as well as general surgery and dentistry.

This role is super diverse with no two days being the same. If you love variety within your work then this is the role for you!

    • We have a wide and varied caseload from all equestrian disciplines including many surgical cases.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
  • Physically fit with the ability and experience in handling a variety of horses (racehorses, yearlings, sport horses, ponies etc.)
  • Is readily adaptable and eager to be able to switch between the different species
  • Hard working, diligent, and reliable
  • Can take initiative, work effectively and independently
  • Able to learn and be flexible in a fast-paced working environment, with great multitasking skills
  • To have attention to detail and a passion to learn new skills and techniques
  • Experience with EzyVet software would be advantageous
