Your Graduate Journey Includes:

Structured Support & Mentorship

• Two-week shadowing period with experienced veterinarians
• Dedicated Clinical Lead for ongoing guidance
• Monthly online catch-ups with senior vets covering standards of care, case discussions, and industry trends
• Graduate Handbook with diagnostic pathways and treatment plans for North Queensland cases
• Competency checklist to track your professional development
• Gradual increase in case complexity as confidence grows

Practical Skills Development

• Large animal practical day covering:
• Pregnancy testing & VBBSE
• Bovine artificial insemination
• Bovine lameness exams
• Anaesthesia and local blocks
• Equine skills
• Mixed practice exposure - small animals to cattle and horses
• Wildlife and exotic species experience

After-Hours Support (commencing after 10-12 weeks)

• VetChat triage service
• Nurse on-call roster prioritised for new graduates
• 24/7 access to our network of 41 veterinarians
• Tropical Vets support chat for case discussions
• 24/7 specialist consultation through Zoetis Dx

• Monthly informal check-ins during probation

Graduate Program Timeline
