The Position:

Join our dynamic Internal Medicine team, where you'll be involved in all aspects of internal medicine, including procedures, patient care, hospital treatments, emergency, anaesthesia, oncology, and advanced diagnostic techniques like endoscopy, CT, MRI and ultrasonography. You'll also have opportunities to collaborate with other hospital departments such as surgery, critical care, anaesthesia and emergency. QVS Stafford is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, including x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, endoscopy, and advanced laboratory equipment.

This varied role offers ongoing career development with access to internal and external tutorials, training, and competency passports for professional growth. You’ll work alongside highly skilled nurses and technicians to deliver the very best patient care.

This is a full-time position with a rotating roster covering Monday to Friday with shifts from 5 am to 8 pm. After six months of training, on-call duties will be required. There is a rotational roster which also includes weekends at our North Lakes Hospital.

Collaboration is ingrained in our approach. Our team works closely across all disciplines to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each patient's condition, fostering an environment of shared knowledge and expertise.

Requirements of the Role:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology.
• At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in Veterinary Nursing.
• A strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care, a team-oriented mindset, and a commitment to professional growth.
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience in veterinary nursing procedures.
• Confidence in anaesthesia monitoring.
• A friendly, adaptable nature, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proven ability to consistently provide high-quality patient care, even in high-pressure situations.

Desirable (but not essential) qualifications:

• Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Emergency and Critical Care) or similar.
• Experience in an emergency or specialist veterinary hospital.
