You will have access to the brand new Intensive Care Unit, full service in-house lab, Ultrasound, CT scanner, MRI, digital radiography, three theatres including an interventional radiology space, laparoscopy, endoscopy, and more.

The Junior Emergency Vet Position:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and team-oriented Emergency Vet to join our 24hr Emergency team in Adelaide in either casual, permanent, fixed term, full time or part time capacity. You will work in a multidisciplinary setting alongside colleagues in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Dermatology and Neurology, while receiving direct support and in-house training from our Emergency and Critical Care Specialists Dr Nicole Kalnins and Dr Morgan Woodforde. There will be opportunities to collaborate with departments across the extensive network of SASH in NSW.

As the Junior Emergency Vet, you will be in a supported role that focuses on training and developing your emergency skills.

  • Learn new procedures and take part in emergency surgeries.
  • Develop your communication skills
  • Be supported through difficult conversations with clients by an experienced emergency vets and nurses.

You will have a variety of shifts to ensure a varied caseload is achieved. The majority of these shifts will be during the day in the beginning, then eventually a mix of days and evenings, being completely supported with a strong focus on training.

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a veterinarian is preferred, however new graduates will also be considered for the position
  • Current registration with OR a degree that is registerable with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of SA
