Mixed/Small Animal Veterinarian Required

Vet Cross are seeking an enthusiastic new grad or experienced mixed/small animal vet, to join our team.

We are an independently owned, AVA accredited New Graduate Friendly mixed practice with our main hospital in the regional city of Bundaberg and nearby branches in beachside Bargara and country Gin Gin.

Our 12 vets enjoy working together to deliver a high standard of patient care.  We love toys and have all the equipment and knowledge for orthopaedics, imaging, equine dentistry, and cattle repro work. 

Caseloads vary for each vet from 0-40% large animal work, depending on individual areas of interest.

We work a 4-day week with 1 night on call per week, 1 Saturday in 12 and 1 full weekend in 7 (with a long weekend following to spend after hours loot).

Starting salary is $75K for a new grads and negotiable for experienced vets.

2024 New Grad Sarah has grown from student to confident, competent vet.  She enjoys being able to walk her dog on a beautiful beach before heading to work in Bundy or Gin Gin.  Sarah says her favourite parts of working at Vet Cross is having the freedom to work up complex cases with a helping hand available if needed and being able to take a nurse on large animal visits and after-hours calls.
