Part-Time Consulting Veterinarian
Animal Happiness Vet
Job Description
Small Animal Primary Care Practice - Manning, Western Australia
Want to work in an independently owned veterinary practice that values people and pets over KPIs?
At Animal Happiness Vet, everything we do is guided by happiness - for our patients, their owners, and our team. We work to fear-free principles, enjoy 99% glowing client reviews, and pride ourselves on a supportive, positive environment.
We are seeking a Part-Time Consulting Veterinarian to join our friendly and cohesive team. While the ideal candidate will be competent in surgery if needed, this role is designed for a vet who prefers the consult room – building relationships, guiding owners, and focusing on medical case workups.

- Fully equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, dentistry suite, in-house laboratory, dedicated modern surgery, and minor orthopaedic set-up
- Supportive team of 3.5 vets and 8 experienced nurses
- Located centrally in Manning – close to freeway access and public transport

- Ongoing CE support and a genuine focus on preventing staff stress and compassion fatigue
- A warm, welcoming workplace where your wellbeing is valued and no KPIs are measured
About You
- Registration with the Veterinary Practice Board of Western Australia
- 2+ years of companion animal experience
- Confident consulting veterinarian who enjoys diagnostics, medical case management, and client care
- Comfortable performing routine surgeries if required (though consulting will be your main focus)
- Exceptional teamwork skills and a positive, can-do attitude
- Warm, friendly, and professional manner with clients, patients, and colleagues
Stand-Out Qualities
- Strong client communication and relationship-building ability
- Special interest in avian, exotics, or wildlife medicine
