Part Time/Full Time Veterinary Nurse/Receptionist Wanted

We are a long established, family run veterinary practice with a small, dedicated team. We are looking for a Veterinary nurse to join our supportive team.

What we are looking for

• Some experience in the animal industry – Animal handling skills and/or reception experience is a great advantage in this industry. This position could suit someone who is currently working as a trainer, at a shelter, at dog kennels or as a groomer and is looking for an opportunity to extend their skills and mix things up a bit.
• A team player who is friendly, flexible and reliable
• Someone with a positive, can-do attitude who can take initiative, is motivated and has a great work ethic
• Someone with a genuine love for animals and their owners who is committed to delivering great care and understanding to our loyal clients and their pets
• A nurse with a strong focus on customer service, exceptional communication skills and a desire to help pets and their owners feel calm and at ease
• Possibly familiar with Ezy Vet or willing to learn the program
• Someone with a sense of humour

About the position

We are a friendly, caring and appreciative team of two vets and 4 nurses. As a Veterinary nurse at Rye Vet Clinic your job will involve lots of client and pet interaction, monitoring anaesthetics, assisting with dentals, running blood and urine tests on our in house laboratory machines, assisting with radiographs, taking care of in patients, recovering animals after anaesthetics, admitting and discharging animals, nurse consults, helping/running puppy school, helping with vet consults and keeping the premises clean and hygienic.

We pay above award and pay our trainees. Hours offered are flexible and negotiable but will involve some Saturday mornings and covering holidays for other nurses as needed.
