Altona Veterinary Clinic (AVC) has an opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in August/September 2025. New or recent graduate Vets are also welcome to apply. The practice provides exceptional and professional veterinary care to pets and their owners. We have a strong reputation among a loyal client base for providing high standards of care and treatment and excellent customer service.
We are looking for veterinarians who would see themselves as progressive, confident and want to be part of team-based environment. It is essential that you are a team player and have an easy-going approachable manner offering mentoring, support, and guidance of all our staff and clients alike.

The Role
- You will be integral to the daily operations of our practice and contribute to the growth of the team through mentoring and providing support to both staff and clients.
- Play a key role in the practice development and support its smooth operation daily.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pet owners by offering clear communication and compassionate care.
- Offer guidance, support and mentoring to staff, helping foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Mix of consulting and surgery shifts. (Roster will be on Thursday, Friday and a share of Saturdays)
- Deliver high-quality veterinary care, efficiently managing the day-to-day caseload with a progressive, hands-on approach.
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent.
