Please note: This is for fully qualified Veterinary Nurses trained locally.
Mitcham Pet Hospital is expanding and there is a great opportunity to join an amazing team.
As a Vet nurse working with us:
1. You will experience a family like culture that is very unique. You won’t have a boss and manager, you will have an older brother (Practice owner) and two sisters ( Practice managers) whom are always there for you, they will listen to you, they will teach you, they will support you. They will talk the talk and walk the walk with you and never let you feel alone or not supported.
2. You will be supported by a very friendly, positive and caring team of our 6 lovely nurses and you will have two senior vets and one younger/ recently graduated who is very keen to teach. Indeed, we are all very keen to teach you and support you.
3. Your job will not be limited to cleaning and answering the phone calls! You will run the show! You will assist in doing dental scale and polishing, you will learn and do cytology, you will take blood samples and run blood and urine tests in our comprehensive in house lab on a daily basis, you will monitor anaesthetic, you will learn and then do general and dental radiography, you will catheterise our patients and take care of admitted sick animals, you will learn and then do all our Laser therapies, regular injections, post op checks and nurse consults.
4. You will get paid well above the award and top rate of the industry and well above GP practice standards of pay, with a guaranteed annual pay rise well above the inflation rate and generous Christmas gift/pay.
5. We are open 8am to 6pm on weekdays and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays and we are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays. You work just one Saturday per month while the shift is so short (only 4 hours) and still you can plan for the rest of that working weekend!
7. The position is part time and hours and days are flexible and negotiable.
8. Fully qualified nurses with any level of experience may apply. We should emphasize again this position is for locally trained and qualified nurses.
