We’re looking for an experienced and confident Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team on a maternity leave cover contract from August 2025. If you have 4–5 years of small animal experience and enjoy working in a supportive, high-standard environment — we’d love to hear from you.

The Role:

  • Leading consultations and medical workups.
  • Performing routine and some advanced surgeries.
  • Mentoring our junior vets and nursing staff.
  • Delivering excellent client communication and case continuity.
  • Working independently and contributing to clinical decisions.
  • Provide comprehensive veterinary care for small animal patients (dogs, cats, and small mammals).
  • Perform routine exams, diagnostics, surgeries, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and communicate treatment plans with pet owners.
  • Work closely with the team to provide exceptional patient care and client service.
  • Participate in on-call shifts for after-hours emergencies and weekend coverage.
  • Contribute to the practice's growth through client education and outreach.
  • This is a fixed-term position covering 6-12 months, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.

You’ll Bring:

  • Eligible to be registered as a veterinarian in WA.
  • Experience with routine surgeries, diagnostics, and emergency care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and staff.
  • A proactive, team-focused approach.
  • Ability to handle sole charge when required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call shifts as part of the schedule.
