The team at Greencross O'Connor pride themselves on providing the best standard service to all clients and patients of the clinic, whether young or old, healthy or sick. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • This role is 30 - 38 Hours a week
  • Carrying out a range of nursing duties, including surgical, medical, consult, emergency, critical care, and pathology
  • Assisting with minor procedures when needed
  • Handling, caring for, and cleaning up after all animals
  • Assisting with creating and implementing policies and processes
  • Assisting practice manager with administrative tasks
  • Driving team development and education
  • Mentoring students throughout their nursing journey
  • Exceptional communication skills to build relationships with our clients.
  • Keeping our clinic sparkling clean, including surgical areas and equipment
  • Providing a warm welcome to clients - being the first point of contact and answering questions in person or over the phone
  • Managing appointments, client accounts, and patient admissions/discharges

Who We're Looking For:

If you’re an experienced veterinary nurse who’s passionate about providing exceptional care and loves working in a dynamic, supportive team, we’d love to meet you! Here’s what we’re hoping you bring:

  • A Cert IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing with a min. 2+ years of hands-on experience
  • A strong understanding of veterinary nursing procedures and excellent animal handling skills
  • Be positive and enthusiastic about their job and have plenty of energy and optimism, eager to learn and grow in their career.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a close working relationship with your leading
  • staff and fellow teammates.
  • Experience leading a team is highly regarded
  • Autonomy and drive during day to day practice
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Flexibility and a team-first attitude
  • Familiarity with RX Works is a bonus, but not a dealbreaker!
